USA and India through my eyes and mind

Introduction
Finally we could keep the long outstanding request from my brother-in-law Tuklu and his wife Sanchita and set to USA. The main attraction was to spend few days with Jhilik , their five year old daughter. But what finally came out was a great opportunity to study the places and people of USA. We could cover many of the tourists places like Las Vegas, Grand Canyon , Hoover Dam, Niagara Falls, New York and Washington.

Socio economic fabric of two countries
After spending 23 days I could gather why people like USA. What astonished me is the maintenance of Rules and regulation. The cities are so meticulously planned . The roads, driving rules are same throughout the country, the schools, colleges , hospitals , universities, departmental stores everything seems to be perfect. The basic amenities are very well defined and Indians visiting as a student or temporary work  bound to fall prey to these amenities. But of course there are exceptions.

Our country is utter chaos in comparison . But I can give thousand reasons in support of my country saying my country is  the best in the world and Kolkata is the best city in the world.

I will give only three reasons  here as this blog is more for my tour
1. We have myriad of economic transactions everyday. There are millions of people buying goods from millions of people. In USA it is not possible. Every transaction is institutionalized. Buyers many, sellers few. People falling behind is unhappy and no opportunity. Economists must have written pages on this issue.
2. Food habit is a  big question mark from childhood . Most people in India is vegetarian and in Kolkata most preferred protein is Fish. But in USA consumption of red meat is too high. Except in NY I found huge number of obese people.
3. Education: An Ameriacn  mother of three from NY whom we have met in local train has confessed  that she is called a tyrant mother by her neighbors  as she follows the Indian curriculum books of her children's age rather than books of that age in USA.
